Russian Family Day at the Memorial Art GalleryLinkages had a table at the very successful Russian Family Day at the Memorial Art Gallery on Sunday, November 16, from noon to 5. There was traditional music - folk music and some chanting monks, folk dancing, including some striking costumes, crafts and puppets for the kids. It was a wonderful event. The Gallery is featuring an exhibit of Russian religious icon art, which will run until January 4. |
The mission of Linkages of Rochester, Inc. is to increase the understanding of the people, politics, and culture of Russia, with a focus on people-to-people relations with the citizens of our Sister City, Velikiy Novgorod, Russia. Linkages of Rochester, Inc. is an all-volunteer organization that promotes professional, educational and cultural exchanges between our two cities. The organization is run by a board of directors, presided over by Paul Caccamise.
Linkages is part of the International Sister Cities of Rochester (ISCOR), the city's umbrella organization for Rochester's 11 sister cities groups.
